When Diddy first announced that he signed Machine Gun Kelly to Bad Boy Records, he said he wanted the Cleveland, Ohio, breakout to stay "true to himself." AFTRA’s national board approved a merger proposal with the Screen Actors Guild on Saturday.
The proposal passed with 94% of the panel voting for approval, which followed approval by SAG’s national board on Friday night.
The approval by both national boards will be followed by a referendum on the merger measure to be approved by the full membership of each guild. The referendum for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists wil be mailed to AFTRA members on or about Feb. 27, 2012, with a ballot return [...]

STUDENTS from Oxford and Cherwell Valley College starred in the county’s first ReFashion event to promote recycled and reused clothes.
More than 700 people came to Oxford Town Hall to see students model garments made from unwanted items.
The college, which has campuses in Bicester, Banbury and Oxford, joined Oxfordshire Waste Partnership (OWP) and Oxford City Council at the event.

Producers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove (The Blind Side) have a savvy sense for underserved markets. As directed by Todd Graff, the film gives the plot short shrift in favor of an emphasis on an engaging blend of gospel, rock, hip-hop and R&B. Not that that’s a bad thing.
The story has some wince-inducing, corn-pone-cutesy dialogue — spoken by Dolly Parton’s character — and a flurry of moralistic lecturing, mostly by Queen Latifah, but the music is undeniably enjoyable.

Open houses are a great tool for realtors to sell homes, but sometimes, allowing strangers in can bring trouble.

The John Wall era hasn’t begun as many had hoped. The first pick in the 2010 draft is not playing as well as he did last year and that wasn’t all that great. He has flashes of greatness, of course. For example, against the Boston Celtics, Wall put up 19 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block and just one turnover. The Wizards lost, of course.
